Poetry Book Sketches
Started a new sketchbook. Turned this enchanting old poetry book with rough edge gold gilding into my new sketchbook. The book has a beautiful, hand-written, scrolling inscription to a Minnie Luthrell dated 1892. Go ahead a denigrate me for writing in this piece of literary history, but it was found in the trash. Just hope that all the sketches I put in this book are as delicious as these two underwater sketches of a hippopotamus and a polar bear. These sketches are particularly attractive because of the way these heavy animals are lifted in the water and float along seemingly without care.
