Panda sketches

Mei Xiang is the adult female at Smithsonian's National Zoo. She is one of many pandas involved in conservtion efforts taking place around the world. As an experienced mother, giving birth to Bao Bao two years ago, she may be pregnant again.

Panda pregnancy is an interesting affair. Females will undergo pseudopregnancy (or false pregnancy) often consiting of hormonal changes consistent with pregnancy without resulting in a developing cub.
